Did I get a good deal? Franchi O/U 12 ga

I found a Renaissance FIELD grade o/u 12 gauge shotgun through a friend that is supposed to be 'as new'. The guy was asking $900 and I got him down to $700.

Did I do well?

I used to have a Beretta Silver Essential and sold it to get a bow. Now I am looking to replace it with this Franchi at $50 less than what I sold the Beretta for. Not too bad given the engraving, etc on the Franchi.

Deal or no deal?

Thanks,
New

Newarcher,, I think you did OK, The Blue Book of Gun Values lists the Franchi Renaissance as worth 1075.00 in 100% condition, and 925.00 in 98% condition.A good deal in my opinion Dave

Good enough, I paid $695 for a LNIB Aristocrat Silver King (from the late 60's). Yours is I guess newer, so I believe you did fine. If it shoots as well as mine you will love it. Mine had fixed chokes, so I sent it to Briley and had it fitted for screw-in chokes and had the forcing cones lenthened. It patterns beautifully.
