Colt 1911 40rd Drum ?

Anyone have any experience with these. I think they are made by Promag. I'm thinking of getting one to use with my "MecTec" Thanks

Can't say that I like the Idea.... but for seventy bucks it makes a cheap convrsation piece I guess!!!

I've seen these at the Reno Gun shows and spoke with a few folks who have tried to get them to work. Function is not very good and the labor of loading them kind of overtakes the fun of shooting. Being in CA of course I can't have one.......
Yes, they are heavy when fully loaded.

Looked into these about 6 months ago. Could not find anyone who could even get them fully loaded. Found NO ONE that didn't have problems with them.

I had a couple of Taylor MK1's and had fun with them, they are finicky. You have to play with them to get them to work. Loaded they are heavy but the drum is a good hold for two hand shooting. Make sure u get a loading tool unless u have steel thumbs. Great conversational piece
