Walther Model 8???

Who knows the most about this gun??? If I provide SN# can you give production dates? This was my grandfather's gun brought back from WWII.

    Uncommon .25 Auto, although made in considerable quanity, 350,000+. Was in production prior to, and during W W II. Not possible to give a specific DOM, other then through the change in proofs and serial number range in 1939/40.

    Like many guns that were made in great profusion but are hard to find these days the model 8 was a simple blowback 25 that for the most part just got "used up" as they were/are great little shooters. Many taken home by various GI's as war souvenirs as they were secondary issue for German commisioned officers.
