The next surplus ammo What will it be?

OK, the 7.62x39 is at a trickle, the 303 is almost gone, the 308 is gone, and the 7.62x54R, 8mm, .223 are still out there but not forever. So I ask everyone what will the next surplus ammo be? This has to be ammo that is cheap and available. We are talking the next step up from .22 ammo in cheap plinking ammo. I guess the .223 maybe it, but what do you think?

If the US dumps .223 completely then most other allies will follow and that will be the next large amount of milsurp, IMO
7.62X54 and 8MM are treated like they will never run out.
I can think of many "Remember when we could get" that we no longer can get.
I am guessing we will say that first about 8MM

Email yesterday from Century(biggest ammo Importer), 8mm is done for the foreseeable future, and maybe forever, no known, importable sources left.

9mm NATO will be next after the US readopts the 45 ACP or the 40 S&W.
    It'l be awhile though.

I'm thinking .223 will be pretty plentiful after they get done with the war...that is if they don't dump the .223 first. Either way I think it will be pretty plentiful as well as the 9mm.

I believe there are a series of large batches of RC Kar98ks in the pipeline. Lack of milsurp 8MM will reduce their value considering there are so many.
    Up side?
Those of us that love Kar98ks cheap and reload will enjoy the bargin prices on those Kar98ks if that happens.
I also would not mind getting a couple Wilson Milspec 98 barrels in 308 and just load for those so lack of 8MM is not the end of the world and perhaps, for some of us, a better opportunity!

I would think milsurp 308 has long life as they date the dumping and suspect that means 20 years of occasional importing.
However, the UN continues to pressure nations into destroying their milsurp ammo rather than sell it. Supposidly South Africa has agreed to stop sending ammo to the USA because of this. That is what one ammo dealer told me. Anyone else know more on this?

This is the great USA - Land of opportunity (and other stuff)

ANYWAY > If there is a need, $omeone will fill it.

Even the major makers will make a '$pecial run' now and then.

As far as nations not agreeing to send to USA....that's probably weak. Even IF the nation's gov't agreed, some enterprizes would still do it. OR the nation would export to anyland, which would export to U$A.
