DINGED BRASS FROM MY M1A

The brass that is ejected gets a deep nick in it. It appears to catch a corner of the op rod. I filed the right angle where the brass appears to strike it into a smooth round corner- but to no avail. The loads I use are a little on the light side (gets best accuracy) with the 168gr Sierra. I've ordered a new ejector spring, plunger, and op rod spring. I'm not sure tinkering with the op rod spring will do anything, replacing the ejector spring, maybe.

Any thoughts?
