    FN = FABRIQUE NATIONALE made most of the Browning pistols and shotguns. Execptionally high quality. I'm not familiar with fnp?
    FN made a fine semi auto carbine called the FNC in .223, discontinued for some years, A good one will cost you +/- $2500.
    FN currently makes long guns for military and police applications, they have one factory in South Carolina. Also make guns in Japan.
    As far as I know FN never made anything but high quality firearms.
