Contemplating a purchase, but need help as to value.
Have looked at and it is "Pristine", the 2 gun set in the
walnut display box. (with original boxes and material)
Never "levered" and 100%.
Said he paid $10k in 1981.
What are they worth today?
Would appreciate any response as to what they might
have gone for, recently!

I think you will find that most sets are sold for somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of what they cost new[?] [:D][?] if you are buying a set and [:(][:(][:(] if you paid list price over 25 years ago thinking it was a good INVESTMENT. IMHO firearms made to be instant collector items are not and never will be .The people that deal in these guns will always tell you how good of a deal it is for you to buy one but take one to a gun show or put at auction or even try to sell one to this same dealer and see what he offers you for it...[:0][:0] Your mileage may vary.

Ralph and Murray Roth are the guru's as it applies to the Winchester Model 94 commemoratives. You can contact them through this link - http://www.doublegun.com/roth.htm

The current owner paid too much[:(].

    Thanks for the responses.
    And especially the emails.
    I made the purchase.
Any others available for $5k would certainly be considered if
    if perfect condition.
Have had two offers at twice that plus.
Am curious if any other set, ever had such a nice display case?
Only problem, they're not Brownings.....so, they may take a trip!

they are only worth what you would pay for them.
No one will pay what they are worth to you.
