SIG STR970

I guess this is the sort of thing to ask before buying a gun, but having already made an impulse buy I'm having a hard time finding info on the SIG STR970. I bought a used one in 300 Win Mag, it has an integral muzzle brake. I've read that the rifle has interchangeable barrels? I didn't buy it for that reason but if that's the case can anyone tell me how easy or difficult this is to do.

Any info is helpful.

I'm going out on a limb here in front of everyone because I don't have a whole lot to compare it to - I paid $950.00. I traded in a 1976 Ruger #1 in 7mm Rem Mag & got $600.00 for it, so my out of pocket is $350.00.

Thanks - good to hear it. I was wondering whether or not I did well or not & didn't check out the price until I got home tonight. My Blue Book is from 2000 & has $800.00 for 100% - I guess $950.00 is OK.

I bought one new a few years ago, about 5, for $450. It has the synthetic stock and is a 25-06. I have noticed that they sell for more than that now. A really good buy for the money.
