winchester 32 WS ?????? for BERT

Bert,,Is the 32WS designation on the 1894's the same as 32SPL ??,,,Probably sounds like a stupid question,,,but there is one coming up at a local estate sale,,ser # 983733,,,,wont know the condition until i make the 3 hour drive,,,and was curious because my blue book lists the 32spl,,,but no 32WS,,,,Thanks for your help as always,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,JIM

Hello Jim,

32 "W.S." is "Winchester Special". Some people and books call it 32 "SPL", but Winchester always marked the barrel "32 W.S." just like this gun - http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=72063790
