DAN WESSON 357

I am looking at a used Dan Wesson 357 revolver. It looks good. However the rear sight is a notch in the frame. There is no adjustment. Can I trust it to shoot to the point of aim? Also how difficult, ($) to add a scope or other optical sight? Is Dan Wesson a good revolver?

I have a Dan Wesson arms 357 Magnum model 15 manufactured in Monson, Mass, serial number 359xxx that I purchased from a friend needing money in 1982. The gun has a vented, interchangeable, 4" barrel, original wood grips with DW insert, rear sight is both windage and elevation adjustable. I have shot less than fifty rounds in the gun in the many years I have owned it. I still have half of the box of 38 special ammo I got when I bought the gun from him. I didn't realize I don't especially like revolvers until I owned one. I would like to sell the gun to buy another semi-auto pistol that I do like, but have no idea what this gun is worth. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Gun is in very good mechanical shape with a few very small cosmetic spots.
Thanks.
4 barrel set 2",4",6",8 3/8" middle 2 never put on gun other 2 shot very little maybe 90% + 2 sets of grips and all in a hard case

I am sure thats too much $$
Any Thoughts ,I of course will be using one of my trade guns
Thanks
If you have the fixed sight it's probably an older manufacture and should be a good gun. I don't remember if the fixed sight model had the barrel interchange capability but if so, remember that anytime you change the barrel your point of impact changes.
Given that DWs usually don't have a huge resale value I'd pick up an adjustable sight 15 instead. The vent rib on top makes it very easy to scope.
