A KART 45. ACP NEW BARREL COSTS ??? AND COMPAIRED TO OTHERS LIKE WILSON, BARSTO, ED BROWN , NOWLIN, OTHER MAKERS, ETC.

MATED TO A SERIES 80 COLT GOVERN SLIDE / FRAME NOT WORN OR LOOSE AS A UNIT AT ALL.

HOW MUCH FOR NEW NON KART WEBSITE OR DEALER THROUGH KART IF POSSIBLE, AND WHICH IS THE BEST BANG / BARREL CHOICE FOR THE BUCK ???

SHOOTING MOSTLY HARDBALL AND CARRY WITH SIMILAR LOAD FOR SELF DEFENSE, 230 GR. NON +P.

A JSP or JHP MAYBE EVEN SILVERTIPS FOR THE DRAW DOWN IF NEED BE.

    Hello Kart makes some of the best barrels going for target shooting they are my and many others top choice for LEAD loads the finish is so good they do not lead foul. That said however I and again most top shooters agree that the Barsto barrel makes a slightly better barrel for HARD-BALL 230 grain The bore size is slightly smaller and most Ball bullets are slightly undersized some as small as .4495 and these tend to strip . We found this out Years ago when picking up thousands of bullets off the grass shot art Camp Perry. Cheers Karl 10 times presidents 100 at Perry Captain of 3 Winning civilian HARD-BALL teams.

    Best price on Kart barrels is from Gil Hebard. He doesn't www, google for his phone number and request a print catalog. The last one I got had a discount coupon and they only charge $2 shipping.

    I just finished building a Colt 1911 using a Kart ramped barrel that I bought from Midway. I would suggest not buying their easy fit barrels. You will get a better fit and barrel price on their barrels that need to be fitted by a gunsmith. I had a gunsmith fit mine and have been happy with the results. Perry Shooter is right about the Karts not leading.
