wrong cylinder

I just got a smith and wesson 686pp. It was put togather wrong the put a 7 shot cylinder insted of 6 shot. some people say that its worth keeping. I called S&W the will replace it for free. what do I do?? Is it worth more money. S&W does not make that compo.

When I called S&W they said that the gun I have Is a 6 cylinder and that a 686pp with a 6 inch ported barel they dont make.

I wonder if it was a special order by a big dealer like Lou Horton. I bought a 7 shot .357 from him a number of years ago that had a flat sided barrel and Hogue grips that was a special order run for his company
