Does anyone know where I could get a mag follower for a 1895 in .405 win? I tried Buckingham. Thanks Paul

Could you factory order a 1895 crescent stock Winchester with a sling. If so what would the sling mounts look like?

I have noticed some of the 1895 Winchesters are advertised for British 303 caliber ammo and some say 30 Gov 03. Is there a difference in the ammo?

    Good evening from Northern Minnesota!
my wife's great grandpa had a winchester 1895 in 405 with the Serial #37067. I am wondering what year it was made? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Jerry,

It was manufactured in 1904 (the same year that the .405 W.C.F. was introduced). If you would like to kniow the exact date, contact the Cody Firearms Musuem, and purchase a factory letter ($55 for non-members).

As a first year production .405 W.C.F., it will have a slight premium to the diehard collectors. Being that it is a .405, it has a considerable premium already... it is a very desirable (collectable) Winchester![^]

Can you find the time to post a few pictures ? I (we) love to see old Winchesters. They are by far my most favorite to collect !
