7.65 pistol ???

I recently stopped in a local pawn shop and looked at what I thought was a .32 automaic pistol.When I looked at the price tag it said 7.62 . Is this just another designation for the 32 auto or something i wouldn't be able to get ammo for???

7.62 is the European designation for .32 ACP. Usually.

7.62 is metric designation for .30 caliber.
The .32 ACP is designated as 7.65

for GOD and COUNTRY

Could it have been a 7.62x25mm Tokarev or a 7.63x25mm Mauser???

It would help greatly to know who made the gun.

Unless you are willing to gamble, it's best to stay away from things you don't know about. Most pawnshop guys are as good as shoe clerks when it comes to firearms. We can't even be sure it's correctly marked.

It looked very much like a Colt 32 auto I used to own I'm going back tomorrow to examine more closely( was in a hurry the other day ) I will double check on the caliber and manufacturer
