need help placing an approx. value on a Colt .22 Targetsman.. I would rate the gun at about 90% and it has its original box.. Original owner stated he bought it in early '60's.. Thanks

Original Box would be a definite plus for resale value. 90% on the other hand, means to me that it does show a fair amount of use. My WAG is that this would put it in the $200 - $400 range. Check the on-line auctions an brokerages, occasionally some of the older Colt .22's turn up. You might be able to get a closer handle on what the FMV, is?

CHECKING THE LAST 60 DAY COMPLETED AUCTIONS HERE @ GB SHOWED PRICE RANGES FROM $ 375.00 TO $ 459.00 FOR SAME ITEMS SOLD, VIEW THOSE AND SEE IF ANYONE OF THEM LOOKS CLOSE TO YOUR BARREL LENGTH, REMAINING FINISH, GRIPS STLE CONDITION , MAG, BOX, PAPERS, ETC.

THAT SHOULD GET YOU IN THE CORRECT PRICE RANGE OR FAIR MARKET VALUE ( FMV )AS OUR OTHER POSTER HAD TOLD YOU ALREADY.

Good advice from Big Mango, but I think the price range seems high. I collect Huntsman, and would not pay over $300 for 90% condition and a box, unless it has unusual features. I hardly consider 90% collectable, more good shooter.
