My CZ75 D Compact 9mm

It's been failing to extract about every seven rounds or so.

It's well-cleaned and everything else works fine.

I've been shooting the cheapest Remington and Winchester FMJ 9mm and I'm going to try some Lellier & Bellot FMJ tomorrow.

Any ideas?

This is the D model from a couple of years ago.....I think they've come out with a slightly different newer model compact.

Not that I'm giving up on it, but how about everybody share their favorite small 9mm for concealed carry?

Today the new Czech ammo worked fine for about 50 rounds, so I started using the cheap Winchester ammo (white box). It immediately failed to extract as did about every other one after that.

Went back to the Czech ammo and it worked fine for about 40 rounds.

Went back to the Winchester and it failed to extract almost immediately.

After messing around with the bad ammo for a while I tried the Czech ammo again and started to get some failures to extract.

By then I had fired over 150 rounds.

I'll clean it good and try again tomorrow.

    Any thoughts?

Check extractor, make sure looks sharp
    replace extractor spring.
Winchester WB is pretty weak ammo

I have a Star Lite BKS. It is similar to the BM but with an aluminum frame. The gun is of the miniaturized 1911 format. It is a complete redesign so no 1911 parts fit but uses the same operating principals except no grip safety. It is much thinner because it made only just wide enough for the 9mm cartridge and it uses a single column magazine. Only troubles I have had were failures to feed when I used the wrong expander ball when making reloads and a broken firing pin somewhere in the 1000 to 2000 rounds time frame. I had a new pin made, and it is ticking along again. I only fire it now and again not every weekend because of the aluminum frame. I used to shoot it more when it was my only centerfire auto pistol and I have started to consider the wear on the aluminum frame.
