Does anyone know if there is any different height front sights for the 30 carbine. Mine shoots about 6 to 8in. high at 100yd.
Mine has the late adjustable rear sight. My email is rclinkdcs@sbcglobal.net
Thanks,
Dick

One of the manufactures did make different hight sights, the other sights had to be filed down. I doing this form memory you sight the rifle in at one hundred yard mark on the rear sight and file the sight until you are on targetat one hundred yards, check the manual! Yours is shooting to high so you will need to install a new sight to be able to make the adjustment. I would check for other problems such as a bent berrel, barrel and receiver not secure in the stock, barrel mark not set to the receiver mark or loose fromt sight.

It would also help if we knew:
    - make of carbine
    - make of barrel
    - rear sight markings
    - ammo you are using.

I think Emmett is on the right track. You might also want to check the position of the recoil plate in the stock.

With the rear sight set all the way down, it is hitting 6to8in. high at 100yds. I need a higher front sight to bring the impact point down.I probably will have to get another sight and weld it up if they don't make a higher one.
