Building a CETME....

Hi, Folks.

Much to my regret, I was unable to purchase the PTR that recently was bought here. Frustrated as hell, I am now seriously considering building a CETME rifle on a kit on a JLD receiver.
I never built any rifles, however, I did replace the furniture on friends AK. Which ain't much at all.
Now, can someone enlighten me as on what equipment do I need to build the rifle?
ALso, does anyone have instructional manual on how to build a CETME rifle?

Thanx

D

can you weld? The Cetme and HK type guns aren't the easiest for a home build. Lots of things you have to get right the first time.

Don't try and build a CETME without an experienced builder to help. If you really want to build your own then try a FAL. It is doable for a new builder and welding isn't required.

Besides, if you really want a CETME, after buying a kit and receiver PLUS all the tools you will end up paying more then if you bought one. Not to mention the trigger pack work, 922r compliance parts and replacing the parts you mess up. I'm sure you can find a CETME here that's reasonable.

This one is only $500. No it is not me or mine. Add up the parts you will need and I guarantee it will be over 500 not including headaches.
