Need some info please. I just purchased a Ruger 45 with wooden box. It is a roy Rogers commemorative, chromed, stag grips, never fired. Ruger Co. says it was made by them in 1992 but with a 7&1/2" barrel, not a 6&1/2" and it was not a Roy Rogers. The owner told me that he purchased it in 1992 in CA fron a Roy Rogers museum. On the gun it has all the Ruger lingo & # 132 of 5000 produced. I have not been able to find another one anywhere. It also has gold fixtures. Can you possibly provide any information please. Thank you, John

In the back of my mind I am remembering one of these guns advertised in a magazine by one of the aftermarket gun companies. With the barrel length being changed it is a definite possibility that this gun was bought as a 7 1/2 inch gun and the BBL was then cut off and then customized. At my age I dont remember as clearly as I did when I was young. Maybe someone else can shed more light on this subject. Thanks Vic & Jane

Probably done by America Remembers or a similar business. Anything like this one? I realize this isn't it, but they've done hundreds over the years and no longer list them all.
