mount dot sight on 348 gamester?

I bought a 1950s H&R gamester 348 bolt action shotgun, and want to put a leftover dot sight on it. I don't care if thats wierd. I like the way the gun works and it was cheap. Do you know of some creative way to mount the sight? Its a Walmart BSA red dot, with built in weaver clamp. I was thinking of maybe mounting something to the stock, over the reciever, like you would use on a chinese automatic military rifle or something.
