Just bought a drum for my 10/22. More of a novelty item, but this thing will not feed a single round. I loaded it right. Anyone else had problems?

This might not help. My wife has a Mini-30. A loaded Promag plastic 30rd mags will not go in the well. When empty they will not seat in and fall out
I have been told to stay away from all ProMag mags.

This may not help either but I have 5 pro mag drums for my 10-22 and they all feed very well. APIA to load.

With a little force closing the bolt (I know, thats bad) it WILL chamber a round, but when it extracts it it doesnt leave the receiver, just kinda chills there. Its a sloppy fit too so im going to wrap some electrical tape around the part that fits into the stock so its a little more snug. Think im going to have to see exactly where its hanging up and bust out the files and/or my trusty dremel.

Ive heard so many mixed reviews about Promag.
Some swear by them, some swear at them.

I have not heard to many good things about them. The onlyy two I had would not feed so I left them loaded for a couple of weeks and they worked fine. I sold the gun and mags so I don't know how they lasted. Instead of trying to jury rig it send it back to ProMag they should replace it.

I tried the ProMag 40 round 1911 drum. It was a piece of junk! Sent it back to Sportsmansguide. I have found that ProMag items are hit or miss-some work as intended-some don't. I have had the same problem with their mini-14 mag-sent that back too.
