Found a guy who has a sealed 800 rd. spam can of ww2/korea m1 carbine ammo lake city in boxes.He wants $500 for it,is this about how much they are worth?Or is this high?Thanks.

If you just want ammo to shoot & not some collector item you can get it for less than half that from the CMP.

CMP has NO .30 cal carbine ammo, & doesn't anticipate getting any.

I believe that such a USGI spam can is worth about $250. It would be worth more if in stripper clips.

CMP did not have .30 Carbine when they first started to sell the rifle now they have two choices. To find the ammo on the site go to carbine sales, there is a link there and it will take you to the price list.
