Sling attachment for a Marlin 60

Has anyone attempted to do this? Surely in 40+ years of ownership, one of the 11 million owners has attempted to do this. I know that Marlin makes newer stocks with the QD studs already attached, but I just like a wood stock.

I had previously seen a shotgun sling that attached to the weapon with simple velcro straps. This method did not seem to be very safe. Your help is appreciated.

"Uncle Mikes" makes swivels that will screw into a wooden stock. I put some on my single shot shotgun that I use for turkey hunting.

Here is a link to the ones I used, I would think you could use them on a Marlin Model 60.

Matwor, Thanks for your help. I had forgotten about those Uncle Mike's mounts. I was afraid that I was going to have to settle for the velcro mount - not as durable as I had wanted.

With Marlins, please do not mistake the "Marlin Bullseye" inserts in the stock for sling swivel mounting points. Have seen a few folks do that. They can pull out. Go for the wood.

Good point, although I don't believe the Model 60 has the bullseye. But I could be wrong, it happened.................once.
