Serial number 080XXX any ideal when made? Gun is plain black synthetic stock etc. How much could it sell for in 98%-99% condition. Nothing else special about this rifle, appears to have all GI parts, HR bbl, TRW bolt and various numbers on the rest of parts.

Thanks to all replies.....

Just sold a 1982 (60XXX) M1A, NM new in box for $1550. Turned around and bought a 1994 (83XXX)((The seller told me 1994)) 95% for $1050. Assume price is about right. It also has all GI forged parts. TRW bolts is all I've ever seen.

Hello all: My M1A NM serNo is 044454. Bought it NIB from Hoffman's (CT) gunshop in the late '80's..about 1988-1990. I think they got it from Springfield, INC. just prior to the sale. Any ideas on why my serNo is so low? Joe
