the difference between corrosive and non-corrosive surplus ammo?

    You need a known corrosive and a known NC primed round, along with the one your wondering about.
    Pull the bullets, dump the powder and using a polished piece of steel, fire all 3 primers at it. Go back a week later and look at the plate to see if where the ?? round hit looks more like the Cor or NC spot.

    If that's to much trouble, than simply treat it as if it is Corr. and rinse everything that the powder gas could get near with hot water followed by a normal clean/oil job.
