I have a couple of the Aetec 2.8-10 scopes that I am very happy with for price paid. Extremely clear optics and have held zero well.

After Simmons was sold a few years back they stopped honoring scopes made before a given date/model. I found this out when I tried to return a scope for repair and they said that it was no longer one that they would work on or replace, at any price. Given that part of the reason that I bought it originally was that they offered a lifetime warranty, I was very disappointed. Thesedays I wouldn't buy any Simmons product with out first checking on the current product warranty status and even then I wouldn't bet that it would still be good a couple of years from now.

JustC; I suppose they may have changed their policy, again, since I had my run in with them. But, because of the experience I had I won't be buying any Simmons products anytime soon....

strange,..a year or so ago I sent one back made before they were bought out,..and they gave me the closest thing in their "new" line to the old product.

You won't usually see me championing any cheap scopes, but after some time with several Aetec scopes,..I have to agree they are very clear and hold zero far beyond the price paid IMHO.
