FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE. HERSTAL-BELGIQUE BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE serial number 352434 It has black plastic grips with the letters FN in large scroll font on each.

I got this pistol with clip and holster from my Dad, LtCol Ret. 1960 Army, who gives this account of its orgins.

During WWII in Germany Sgt Bud Ford (Dad's brother in law) captured a Nazi Officer Capt. whom refused to surrender to an enlisted man. Uncle Bud convinced the officer to surrender to a Sargent. Bud asked for his weapon, a P-9 Luger, and upon its surrender he said "Now the one in your boot", which resulted it the pistol I have.

Dad says the P-9 got stolen but I still have the .25

Can anyone tell me about this weapon?

thanks, charles
