Need gunsmith advice on this?

I have a colt army special with a bent ejector rod. If I was able to find another one could I replace it without special tools. If so could you tell me how or walk me through it? Thanks.

No real reason to replace it, you should be able to straighten it out as good as new.
A brass hammer and a little time spent on a hardwood block should do it.....

The ejector rod is threaded into the extractor star and peened or riveted over on the far side.

If you can't straighten out your Ejector Rod, Numrich/GunPartsCorp has them for $8.45....

You bet, which once installed will have to be trued or straightened. Just go see a real Gunsmith and pay him for his expert work. For sure he'll undercharge you because none of us charge what we're worth. Thats why all good Gunsmiths eventually become something else.
