Lyman Alaskan scope refinish ??

Hello ,,,I picked up a pre-64 win m-70 in 22 Hornet with stith mounts and Lyman Alaskan scope,
The scope has minimal original finish, I think from carrying , and the rest of the rifle is super,,,
Does anyone refinish these old scopes or am i better off attempting a cold-reblue

It must be disassembled to be reblued. ABO in Miami 305 859-2010 can take it apart (and clean it at a very reasonable price). They will send you back the tube that any gunsmith can then reblue. After you return it to ABO, they will reassemble it for you.

I would leave a venerable scope in its original condition, it has deserved it's patina of gray. Certainly the refinish will cost more than the scope is worth, and the refinish will destroy what ever collectability is has.
