Hi i was wondering if anyone knew if the Saiga-12 was avaible with the standard military pistol grip and fixed stock (ala the Ak-74) or if that is somehow illegal now since the assualt-type rifle ban?thanks BuckP.s Anyone know where one of this style could be found?

Thinking about leaning into one of these Russian shotguns? Can anyone assist in the direction that will save me the most money? I like the AK action. THanks for any help Mike

I'd like a SAIGA 12 guage, but I live in Connecticut. The Assault Weapons ban here lists specific models of weapons including Street Sweepers and the USAS-12, as well as a vague listing of "AK-47-type". Since a shotgun is not a rifle, is it only wishful-thinking on my part that their definition does not include the SAIGA shotguns, or am I on a fast track to becoming a felon?

If anyone knows where I can go to get a definitive answer I would really appreciate it. The other possibility is considering another magazine-fed 12 guage since there is no reference in the law. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Fitz

Gun shows around here in Ohio are a joke. The prices are way beyond realistic on the stuff they sell. I stopped going.

The 12 GA Saigas are in short supply and the demand is up, so prices on one, for a while anyway, will be high. (Over $400) Used ones can sometimes be found at reasonable prices. I bought a nice one recently at a pawn shop for $225. Great shotguns. I'm sure you will be pleased.

I see that there are several differant models. Are all made from the ones for around 400 and then marked up because of the add-ons?
