I have a Colt Python 357, manufactured in 1979, stainless, 4in barrel, orignal box and manual. Has never been fired. Wondering what this gun is worth.

Would really need pictures. But you are looking at least $1000.

Log in on the auction side of this website. Click on advanced search. Select "completed acutions". Search for stainless steel python and you should see what the asking prices have been and what realistic selling prices have been.

I doubt your Python is stainless if it is truly a 1979 model. Stainless Pythons were not introduced until 1983. Yours is nickel plated or has been refinished to look "stainless".
