JUST TOOK RUGER IO/22 SPORTER IN ON A BOAT I HAD FOR SALE.
HARDWOOD STOCK,PAD,SWIVAL STUDS ECT. ECT. NO BARRELL BAND.
GUESTION ???
WILL THE SPORTER SET UP FIT INTO A STANDARD RUGER SYNTHETIC STOCK & BARRELL BAND ??
THE SPORTER STOCK IS TO BIG BULKY & PRETTY FOR ME.

    Does the stock have a groove length-wise along each side of the barrel? Or is this just the standard sporter model?
    I guess what I'm asking is does it look like this .44 pictured below?

    If it's just the ordinary sporter, then I know it'll take standard aftermarket stuff so I would assume it would also be possible to revert it to factory as well. You'll just have to make sure you have all the correct screws for the stock you intend to use.

    Darn it... I was hopin' it was a classic fingergroove sporter. I'll keep lookin' for a match for my .44 mag! [;)] I'm pretty sure you can do what you want to do (99%) sure, just make sure to get all the screws, clamps, etc with the stock...
