A cousin of mine just bought an A-5 and was trying to make sure of the date mfg. He said there are two lines on the bottom of the reciever. The first line is 02245 and the second is PM211. He was told this was a gun made in Japan.

Thanks

    Hello vmaner...

It is a "Light 12" that was manufactured in 1980, and yes, it was made by Miroku in Japan (and it will be marked as such on the barrel).
