Leupold Vari X II, a bit high but..

My regular salesperson at the neighborhood pawn shop had been watching for a Leupold scope for me for a few weeks. He called today to tell me he had one, a VariX II 2-7 for $250, including tax. I told him that was over twice what I wanted to pay. He said, Oh, there is a Remington .22 under it you might like that's included. To make a long story short, the .22 was an excellent condition 541-S Custom Sporter. The outfit is now sitting here beside me in the den waiting for some range time on Saturday. The guy at the pawn shop is definitely going on my Christmas list this year.
