would it have to be shipped to ffl?
I would email him but would not get answer in time.

    Greetings: givette here. Just make sure that your FFL guy (if you're not an FFL) is willing to receive firearms from a non FFL shipper. And don't tell your FFL guy that it's gonna arrive in the mail. He may back-out.

    To ship a handgun thru USPS you have to have a FFL or have one ship it for you. That is what I was told by the FFL I use to receive firearms when I was going to sell one here on GB.

    Henry O..you are absolutely correct in the emphasis for the forum readers. And it made me realize that I should have been more spicific in my post. Should have included the following:

    1. Seller is non FFL
    2. Seller has a handgun to sell
    3. Seller indicates that he will ship via USPS

    I don't know if receipt of said firearm (handgun) makes one accessory after the fact...and could get into trouble. (re: non-FFL shipping handgun through the mail). Perhaps one of you legal-beagles would be kind enough to throw in his/her .2c??

    He COULD give to a FFL to mail to another FFL- but mailing handguns IS limited to dealers and manufacturers. Even us C&R FFLs and Importer FFLS cannot MAIL a handgun- straight from the BATFE. Would it make you an accesory? Well, if you CONSPIRE to violate the law....
