What ammo do the experts recommend for ccw for the new springfield xd 45? I normally carry winchester white. But would like to know your thoughts on carry conceal ammo.[8D]

Hi,

There are only a few choices for the most effective 45ACP defensive loads.

1. Remington Golden Saber 185 grain ammunition
2. Federal Hydra Shock 230 grain ammunition

Both of these loads offer 96% one shot stops based on actual shootings. These are real shootings with human beings under real life circumstances and are not simulations using gelatin, etc.

Below is a table (which will probably look like a pile of numbers) that lists the statistics.

I used to carry the golden sabre rounds and it's good to hear that it makes the top 2. I think I will try the Hydroshock rounds this time.
