Mossberg stock

I have a mossberg 5500 MKII and I'm having trouble finding a stock that I want as options are pretty scarce for a discontinued model. Does anyone know if any of the other mossberg model like 930 or 935 stocks will work with my gun. Mossberg wouldnt/couldnt tell me anything cause my model is discontinued.

    I am looking for someone localy to shorten my stock on my mossberg about 3/4" or maybe 1/2" is that possible?

    Hey,lynx,It is not only possible,it's really not all that hard to do.I shortened one for my son to shoot.I got my directions from a book by Bryce Towsley(I hope I spelled that right)called,I think,Gunsmithing Made Easy.Got that at wally-world for$10.If you just can't bring yourself to cut it(and I certainly understand that)I'm sure you can find someone who knows what they're doing.[:)][:)]
