Winchester 1886 Marking

GB #64366109 Shows a barrel marking "Made in the USA" supposedly done near the end of production. Anyone know if this is correvt?

    Other than that one rifle, I have not seen that marking before. I do not know if it is correct (factory applied), and it would take a hands on examination for me to determine the answer to the question. That said, I am highly suspicious of it at this point.
