I have a one-piece Leupold Base with 1" dove-tailed rings. "BLA" is stamped on underside. Is this for the Browning Lever Action (BLR)? I've looked on Leupold site and other venues, but I want to list it for auction and want to be sure what I'm selling. I'm having trouble confirming it.

Is it a slug gun? if so you may want to consider a cantilevered barrel it will make the gun a little more versatile because the scope is attached to the barrel you can change to a feild barrel and not have to worry about rezeroing the scope it is with the barrel and is still set

Its I want to say 70% of the time a slug gun. I have seen those around and Am looking at getting one later down the road. I just cant seem to figure out how these mount on the reciver.

Technically, a cantilever mount is better because of possible barrel shift, especially on short tang barrels like the 500.

However, if a quality mount system is used, and properly installed, 3 shot group accuracy can be as close as 1/2" it's not worth discussion for hunting. Proper slug testing & selection is much, much more important.

The mount design is referred to as a Saddle Mount. Just compare it.
Large bolt replaces a trigger pin.
Small fastener goes inside LS reciever, and a large head fastener screws into it.
When swapping barrels, simply R&R bolt-pin, unscrew LS fastener KEEP IT HANDY, slip off mount, AND put back the LS fastener that came w/the mount.

Don't over torgue the fastners, and especially the barrel or POI will walk.

I bought one of these also from CDNN for my Remington 1100. It works fine. Don't over tighten the screws. I did this when I first put it on and the bolt wouldn't move. I put a red dot sight on mine.
