Can someone tell me what the piece on the bottomside of the carrier that keeps the shells from flying out of the magazine is called? Is it the carrier plunger?

I find it interesting that Sears has apparantly lost track of which models were 12 Gauge as evicenced by the fact that most of the numbers they reference in the recall are not actually 12 gauge shotguns at all. Only 583.13, 583.16, 583.17, and 583.20 were 12 gauge. The others listed in the recall were 16 gauge and 20 gauge. There was another number for a 12 gauge that they did not mention 583.17A
