cylinder tightness in a North American Arms mini

Hello to all your experts out there. I am hoping someone will be able to answer this question. How tight are the cylinders supposed to be on the North American Arms mini revolvers in 22 caliber? The reason I need to know is that I was thinking of purchasing one of these, but I handeled a used one tonight and the cylinder seemed pretty sloppy at both cocked and uncocked position. Would a new one feel this way or was this one just wore out,It looked in really nice shape. Thanks to all who answer in advance. Have a great night.

I have a "Black Widow" with both cylinders and they are tight. Pull the pin out that holds the cylinder in the frame and check for wear. Run your fingernail down the pin to see if you can detect ridges of wear. My humble opinion.

All of these that I have seen are nice little revolvers and the cylinder should lock up tight. Something must be wrong with the one you looked over.

I have two of the convertible models and they both are tight. I have less than 100 rounds through them though. As Robin said, take a second look. Something is damaged. I would suggest to just buy a new one. On the other hand, if you can get it cheap enough, NAA has a good customer service rep.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

Thanks guys for answering so quickly. I think I'll pass up on that pistol. He wanted only 25.00 below what a new one should cost. I am glad however,to know that these little guns are manufactured better than what that one was showing me. I guess I'll pick up a new one.

I sold one recently that had the folding grip. It had about two or three boxes of HS through it and was very tight.
If I remember correctly, they have a lifetime warranty.
You dont want to shoot it much.
The reason I sold it was it took too long to get into action, required two hands due to the folding grip and it was inferior as a defensive CCW to its' replacement, a Keltec 380.

I have a North American Arms .22 LR mini revolver in one of the velvet cases. Got it at an auction and I believe its unfired.

It is VERY tight both cocked and uncocked.
