What is my 550-1 semi auto 22 rifle worth. It also has a 4x scope

    Around here (norhern N.E.), not half as much as it should be. A lot will depend on condition, of course. I just bought one for $100.00, stock has non-critical crack and metal is maybe 85% with mint bore and excellent function. Missing magazine tube, but I can replace that for less than $20.00. Blue Book suggest I'm not stealing this one.
    I'm curious about the floating chamber; reliability; and accuracy.
    What's been your experience?

    Like da man said- these are nice, underappreciated rifles. Call it $100-200, depending on condition, scope, etc. Condition of the floating chamber is important. Love my 550's- they will digest CCI CB Longs VERY quietly. Run a search for closed auctions last 90 days- see them here from time to time.

    This is my favorite .22! It's a full size rifle and shoots anything from shorts to long rifle with ease. I picked one up for $125 a while back. The stock needed a bit of help, but the metal was 95%, a great buy!

    ...11b6r Just checking, I had some of those numbers myself, but they were R6 (Redeye qualified), just wondering if you were an "ADA brother" but sounds like you were another "leg"! *L* ...Just funning!

    Echo- as a frequent occupant of aircraft, that "If it flies, it dies" motto always worried me![:p] Have been out on live fires with my gunners shooting at BAT's- boys were good! And Poppy- your'e welcome. Fun little rifles.
