I was referedto you from {burp} forums XRACER. Hope you can shed some light.
I have a winchester mdl 94 saddle ring carbine with no serial number. It is in 30 WCF with no rear sight on barrel a lyman peep on the tang. it has 10 - 20 % finish wood is good. barrel is stampe "model 94-winchester-nicklesteel-30wcf "below that it says " trademark" on the right side it says the standard made in USA winchester repeating co newhaven conn. on the top of the tang under the sight it is stamped "Model 94 Winchester trademark reg. u.s.pat. off.&FGN"
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

It appears to have been manufactured in the late 1920's to just before World War 2 time frame. The portion of the receiver where the serial number would normaly be found shows so much wear that I can't say for sure that it did not originaly have a serial number. In fact, the surface of the receiver seems to be somewhat below the surface of the lever link in that area, indicating that the serial number may have been removed at some point.
At this point, all I can tell you is that it was manufactured sometime after mid 1919, but before 1940. Please send me a PM with the name of the forum or website where the pictures are located. You could also post the pictures here.
