marlin mod. 43 12 gauge

I just got a marlin mod. 43 pump 12 ga.has some rust i plan to do some work on it.can anyone tell me if collectors care for this gun. thanks robert

The model 43 was manufactured from 1923 to 1930 as a lower priced version of the Model 28. There would be little collecter interest.

Yea! these were a low cost shotgun that was a real good shooter. I have two old Model 1898 Marlins, I know how to do the safety checks to make sure that they are safe to shoot, I would think that you would want to do the same if you are going to fire them. I loaded up some cut down hulls and reloaded light loads and fire the shootguns once or twice a year.

There's a saftey check list online that I've used.It's very intensive I'll see if I can find it again and post it here
