OK guys, I have a Lefever Trap single shot with the 32" bbl. S/N 20873. Next to the S/N it says "patend pending". Blueing and Wood are both at least 92%. How do I tell the grade if there is one and the year of mfg? Thanks..........

I can't speak for the trap guns but on the older double barrel side lock guns the water table " section of frame you can see only when the action is opened and even better with barrel removed" has the grade D.F.etc. Is this a sidelock or box lock gun ? that will help to narrow down the date.

I own one and as far as I know only one grade was ever made. Discontinued in 1942.They have great barrels and pattern tight, but may punish your cheek a bit if its not a good fit.
