I have a Central Arms Co 12ga. double barrel, very tight probably as tight as any new shotgun. I have been using it for rabbit hunting and it works great. It is not rusted but the blueing is not real good, and the stock has a small chip and small crack right above the trigger that has been repaired with epoxy. The serial no. is 6012 and the patent date is april 20, 1915. Can someone give me a ballpark on the value.
Thanks

Some years ago I bought a 12 ga. double barrel shotgun from an older gentleman. He was selling all his guns. I got this from him for fifty bucks. When I got it home, I broke it down and couldn't find any markings on it. No serial #, no mfr. no proof marks, nothing. it sat in my closet for a few years, and at a time when I needed money quick, I took it to a local gun shop. He looked it over and said he would give ma a hundred for it and I accepted. I asked him if he knew what it was and he said an early Ithaca and it was at one time under recall. Anyone have an idea what this may have been and if it was fairly priced?

The Central Arms name was originally used on shotguns made for the Shapleigh Hdw. Co. of St. Louis, MO. Given the condition you describe, I would put the value a little below that given by Henry.

Thanks for the info guys! I knew the condition would bring the value down and was just wondering if the manufacturer and 4 digit serial no. gave it any added value.
