I have a springfield armory m1a sn#88xxx.It was built using all us gi parts as in winchester,springfield,and h&r. the rifle is in@98% with box and papers.could some one shed some light on this rifle in ref to age and appx value. thanks

In any case, it's difficult to put a price on this rifle. The cost of USGI parts has recently gone through the roof; a complete parts set (minus the receiver) can bring $1,200. So, that should make an M1A with all USGI parts worth > $1,500.
But, it doesn't always work that way. There are thousands of owners out there who don't know that their rifles have appreciated that much, so, when they go to sell them, they are glad to get $1,000-1,200.
Bottom line is that your rifle is what a buyer is ready, willing, & able to pay at any given time.

the barrel is winchester dated NOV-61-22R,the gas system and flash suppressor is all unmarked,op rod is marked 7267064-2 SA,bolt is marked 7790186 HRT A19 BTU,rear sight windage is marked (BME),elevation is marked (WCE),stripper clip guide unmarked,fiber glass hand gaurd is unmarked,stock is marked D3741 GB-3 DT 3L2,the trigger housing is marked 7267030-HR-N, Hammer is marked SA-0554613.
the stock and handgaurd is painted woodland camo i hope this helps thanks
