I'am trying to find the value of a winchester 1892 in 44 wcf with a 15 inch barrel, with factory letter stateing manufacture date of 1896. it is in very good condition. metel is brown patina, wood is solid, and action is tight, and rifling is good. I understand that with this barrel length this gun is rare. Any help would be appreceiated

Hello drflinders and welcome to the Experts forum.

Yes, it is both a rare and potentially a very valuable Winchester[:p]. In order for me to properly evaluate it (to give you a reasonably accurate value estimate), I really need to see a series of clear, close-up, photos of it. If you go to the General Discussion forum, there is a "Sticky" post with instructions on how to post pictures. You can also send them to me directly at Win1885@msn.com
