What do you Winchester guys think of this rifle? I would like to have it. I lost one back in the 80's and would like to replace it but I don't want to get raked over the coals for one. Is the price about right? Seem a little high for a post 64. Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks

You are referring to the recent production U.S. Repeating Arms Co. guns... not the original Winchester Repeating Arms Co. made Trappers. Winchester initially introduced the Model 1894 in October of 1894, and in 32-40 and 38-55 calibers only. In August of 1895, the 30 W.C.F. and 25-35 W.C.F. cartridges were introduced, and in late 1901, the 32 Win Spl. was introduced. Trapper Carbines were made in all five cartridges, the those in 30 W.C.F. are the most common.
