I recently purchased a Marlin rifle and would like to know the app.value of it or would it be considered a collectors item.On the barrel (octagon)is a couple patent dates and toward the receiver is stamped "Special Smokeless Steel" and 25-20. On the back of the tang is No.27S and the serial is 30XX.Any info would be appreciated(worth putting up for sale or on GB auction)etc.

Nice little rifles[:)] but they don't bring much money[:(] $250.00 in 90 % condition.latest blue book not legal for SASS the one area where this could be a popular rifle plus 25-20 factory loads are the most part jacketed.

I would be interested in that gun if you decide to sell. I sold one 35 years ago to pay the rent(destitute youngster) and I'd love to have one again. Please contact me if you ever decide to sell. Thanks Chuck Caine
